There is an Adivasi Welfare Hostel (Through Department of Welfare, Government of Jharkhand) inside the college campus with a capacity of 250 students. The hostel has all the basic amenities along with sports ground facilities, namely Football, Volleyball and Cricket.
Giridih College was established under Contemporaneous Bihar University in 1955 by the eminent personalities & public representatives of Giridih to impart quality education in the society
